Workplace substance abuse affects all businesses, regardless of size or industry.  Of the 12.3 million American adults who are current illicit drug users, 9.4 million (77 percent) are employed.  Over this course covers Alcohol abuse, use of illicit drugs, misuse of prescription drugs, and how to identify the signs of an employee working while they are under the influence.   During the training, employees learn about the impact of alcohol abuse and drug use in the workplace. This video series has been designed to inform supervisors of their role in a company's drug and alcohol testing program.   They will learn how to make a determination that an employee could be impaired and the course of action to take after that determination is made.  They will also learn what events constitute an accident and who should be tested once they determine that the event meets the definition of an accident.   This course is designed as a general training for employers who are not required to comply with DOT and Federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
