Welcome to the DOT Urine Drug Screen Collector Course

This course will provide collection personnel with the training to become proficient in DOT and federal urine specimen collections for drug testing in the workplace.

To become qualified as a collector, you must be knowledgeable about Part 40 regulations, and DOT agency regulations applicable to the employers for whom you will perform collections, and you must keep current on any changes to these materials. You must also (1) successfully complete a qualification training program (this video series) and (2) pass a monitored proficiency demonstration, as required by DOT regulations [See 49 CFR Part 40.33 (b-c), effective August 1, 2001]. Proficiency mocks will be scheduled at the conclusion of your online course. Course is equipped with closed captioning.

** This course consists of two-hours of online training regarding the set-up of collection site and procedures of conducting and Department of Transportation urine drug screen collection. This certificate indicates the completion of the online lessons only.

A final certificate will be issued upon completion of the 
5 successful mock collections in the presence of a qualified trainer.

There is a lot of information that is repeated, but my biggest struggle was the amount of information. It is overwhelming and that makes it more challenging to focus and absorb the information.
